The Shasta College Independent Living Program for foster youth ages 16-21 is administered by NVCSS. Our goal is to enable foster youth to
achieve self-sufficiency prior to leaving the County Foster Care support system. This is accomplished through a variety of independent living program trainings and services for each participating youth.

- Computer class
- Emancipation workshop
- Etiquette dinner
- Financial aid application (FASFA)
- Job skills workshop
- Pot luck/BBQ/swim Party
- Ropes course
