In collaboration with Shasta County Mental Health, SHIFT Plus (Shasta Housing Intervention For Transition)
provides opportunities to individuals with persistent mental illness that are not linked to any
services in the community to obtain and retain permanent housing in the community. Support services are provided to
establish an income source and assist in locating safe, affordable housing. Housing at Pine Street Place is made available
to selected clients, enabling these residents to establish credit and rental histories that will assist them in locating permanent
housing in the community. To promote the successful retention of housing, vocational guidance and community integration is
provided to clients through the assessment of employment skills, career counseling and with job search assistance.
